Scott Jackson takes the mirrors down from the walls in his songwriting, exposing his inner soul. He delivers a dynamic score of folk driven pop rock music with a universal theme. Songs that seem recognizable yet are unique with hooky and emotive sounds.
Following his debut release "My World" producer Jerry Wong, who embraced Scott's first single 'What Are We Waiting For', was so impressed that he became Scott's music collaborator. Wong subsequently produced Jackson's current full-length album release "Distractions", a back to front ensemble of strong songwriting, tying together the rootsy sounds of the American Alt country establishment with the creativity of Brit pop. When asked what he sounds like, Jackson is unashamed to wear his influences on his sleeve and reply "if you put Keith Urban or Tom Petty in a studio together with U2, the Scott Jackson sound is what you might end up with!"
Scott Jackson's live shows are riveting. Headlining showcases at the New Music West Festival and playing opening slots for acts like Nickleback are some of the memorable performances in Scott Jackson's career.
