New Hybrid Studio
New things are happening at Renegade Productions Inc. in Vancouver Canada.
A brand new 3,000 sq ft recording/rehearsal/dance studio has just opened at our largest location, 15 Victoria Drive. This is the new home of the Renegade Recording Co. a 48 channel Pro-Tools compatible Mackie studio complete with a 2500 sq ft tracking room and a spacious 500 sq ft control room.
Complementing the facility is the opening of the Renegade Dance Studio, a well-designed space complete with hardwood floors, practice mirrors, and a great sound system.
This hybrid studio combines the best of all elements for the performing arts, by centring the rosewood colored hardwood floors within thick cobalt coloured carpet, for the best visual aesthetics and sound.design. The studio already has become famous for it's large scale rehearsal capability, with great loading, secured parking, and multiple alarm systems.
Housed in the same complex is our Victoria Drive rehearsal division, with 29 studios of varying sizes and shapes that operate 24/7.
Our Gastown location, only a few minutes away, features 19 studios including Studio A, a great sounding room for album or concert pre-pro, as well as many lockout studios.
And, our original Hastings facility still operates a demo studio, a drum rehearsal area, as well as 4 other band rooms.
The melodic rock label Renegade Sounds features 4 releases from Renegade, MATREX and Vertigo, which continue to sell worldwide and our publishing division is handled by Arpieye Music.
The company is also looking to manage future acts and currently is involved with Scott Jackson and The McLean Girls, both quality original bands.
The company also provides crew and equipment rentals and services for recording and touring acts.

25 Years
On May 11, Renegade Productions based out of Vancouver Canada, celebrates 25 years in the music business.
A lot has changed since then, from cassette tapes to digital files, from pen and paper to computers, from rotary phones to wireless everything.
But one thing has remained constant...Music...always composed, recorded and performed by the countless musicians under our roofs over the years.
Renegade Productions Inc has grown from one black phone on a broken desk, to 55 studios in 3 buildings, a bustling office with tremendous staff, to thousands of bands writing, rehearsing, recording and performing.
Some of these bands are the biggest names in the business, and some are regular people who just want to play. The record label Renegade Sounds has 4 successful releases and going strong. Management is working on 3 new projects. A brand new recording studio is in the works at our newest location on Victoria Drive.
We are proud to have served musicians and music lovers for the past 25 years, through many stylistic and technological changes, and to be here in such exciting and challenging musical times.

HAPPY NEW YEAR, EVERYBODY!
it's time for an update from the Vancouver headquarters of Renegade Productions Inc.
Renegade Victoria Drive, our newest rehearsal and future recording studio, has been launched with Hedley doing production for their upcoming
national tour there, Mother Mother jamming out great music, and several other studios are now also in operation. While still undergoing renovation,
the new 10,500 sq ft facility with 30 studios, great security, parking, nice location at Powell and Victoria, and with the team that is
currently remodelling the Westin Bayshore doing our renos, our new facility is classy, steadily filling up, and off to a fantastic start.
Gastown Studios have just undergone a thorough refreshing facelift in time for the new year. There are some great bands scheduled there for
January there, including Loverboy and 16mm and the all new Ruby Blue.
Hastings Street, our 1st building, is full as usual and benefits from
the natural all-wood construction and is also the home of Renegade Trucking. All total, we are now in 4 locations with over 20,000 sq ft and
housing some 55 music production studios.
On the label front, Renegade Sounds has successfully released Vertigo's "Takes Me Back" which is featured
in online stores in Germany, Japan, U.K., USA, and Canada with airplay extending to Italy, Portugal, Brazil, Germany, and U.K.
This latest release has also triggered interest in the label's other artists, Renegade and MATREX and sales are good, not only on CD, but by mp3
as well.
We will post pics of our new location and studios soon, as well as reviews from the label. New projects are in the works as well, and
will be announced shortly.

Well, another year has almost gone by and it's ending with a bang!
Renegade Sounds is frantically shipping our 4th release, Vertigo "Takes Me Back" as well as a resurgence of Renegade's "Back From the Dead" and "On the Edge" CD's plus "I'll Always Remember" by MATREX to worldwide markets. The Christmas Box Set with all 4 CD's and rare vinyl is proving to be a hit, and mp3 sales are growing in numbers.
In just 2 short weeks, Vertigo is now featured on some of the world's best melodic rock online stores in Germany, U.K., Japan, U.S.A. and Canada.
We can't wait for the reviews to come out in the new year at dozens of web-zines, and airplay is growing.
For those of you who don't know, Renegade Sounds is a division of Renegade Productions Inc., a multi-faceted music production company based in Vancouver Canada, with some of the world's best artists using our facilities.
Another few days of organizing renovations and booking bands, and our newest location, Renegade Victoria Drive, will be getting underway for it's new year opening.
The largest company of it's kind in the region, Renegade Productions is opening 30 brand new music production studios, adding to the 25 in our Gastown Studios and Hastings locations for a total of 55 studios in 20 000 square feet.
This has also been a busy year for crew, production, publishing and all our music-related businesses.
But next year's really going to explode with new bands, new sounds, and a whole lot of great music that we're so proud to be a part of.

Renegade Sounds is excited today to announce the worldwide release of "Takes Me Back" by Vertigo from Canada.
This is the real thing for lovers of melodic hard rock, recorded in the late 80's, and recently discovered by the label that brought you Renegade and MATREX.
This is a great album, the kind you can listen right through and hear brilliant pop rock production, big harmonies, fantastic guitar and sweet keyboards.
Most notable about Vertigo is their songs, hit after hit of well-crafted, meaningful lyrics and melodies that truly will take you back.

Exciting times at Renegade Sounds!!! Vertigo's "Takes Me Back" is due back from the pressing plant this week in time for the official December 3 release.
This CD is full of great songs, with that great late 80's production for melodic hard rock lovers the world over.

Renegade Productions is pleased to announce the opening of our newest location,
Renegade Victoria Drive, opening January 08.
This huge 10,000 sq ft facility will house over 30 rehearsal studios
and a new recording studio. Sure to become the music centre for rising and established recording artists,
the 30+ studios will offer flexibility and a cool environment. The location, at Vancouver's waterfront on Victoria and Powell,
is easily accessible by mass transit and has parking available.
In addition to Renegade Productions' Gastown and Hastings Studios,
Renegade Victoria Drive will make Renegade Productions one of the largest companies of it's kind, with 60 studios and 20,000 sq ft
of music production space.
Floorplans and prices are now up under the Studios tab. Bookings with a 50% deposit are now being taken.

Renegade Sounds is pleased to announce the release date of "Takes Me Back" by Vertigo scheduled for
December 3.
This exciting album is hit after hit of hooky, big sound, melodic hard rock from Canada that is the real thing.
The first single, "Freedom" is now going to airplay on Munich's Hardest Hits and other stations.

It's been busy as usual at Renegade Productions!
We've just launched Fiction Plane from London
on their world tour with The Police, with Damien Rice from Dublin in before that. This followed 3 months of
album pre-pro with Hedley, who are expected back this summer.
Renegade Productions has also been assisting 80's heavyweights Loverboy with concerts in Calgary
and more recently, at the Memorial Cup finals @ the PNE in Vancouver.
Keep your eyes and ears on a few new bands our staff are involved in - 16mm & The Luna Riot, and expect new dates
soon for Scott Jackson.
On the studio front, we are currently involved with finding a new location for GGG Productions which is
Garth Richardson's production company. We continue to search for an ideal 3rd location for our own expansion needs,
and hope to have an announcement soon.
On the label front, Renegade Sounds is still shipping and selling downloads on iTunes for Renegade and MATREX CD's,
and has a recent dub of the classic 80's single "I Don't Want Anybody" on YouTube.
We expect to announce a new release on the label this summer.
Of course, Renegade-Zip is always available for band's graphics and web needs.

Hey everybody!
A few new changes to our webpage. We've added some artists that have been in our studios lately, including Biffy Clyro, 3 Inches of Blood, Xavier Rudd, and Fiction Plane.
Also, due to the huge increase in rates for space in Gastown, our prices will now show a modest 5% increase.
An expansion is still in the works and we are still on the hunt for a new location.
We'll keep you posted as new developments come on line.

Season's Greetings to all!
It’s been quite a year for Renegade Productions!
Gastown Studios, our new location on historic Water Street, is now up and running with 19 rehearsal, album and tour pre-pro studios.
Our Hastings Street studios in Strathcona have been fully booked the entire year.
Renegade Sounds, our label, continues to distribute CD's from the bands Matrex and Renegade.
The management arm is continuing to seek deals for Broken Condom Babies and Damsel Fly.
We've diversified into media, with the addition of Renegade-Zip (graphics
and web) and Renegade Recording Company is back in action.
The company is currently working on a couple of big New Year projects,
including a new 5,000 sq ft location, a nightclub/venue for our bands and
other good bands to play, and a web cam broadcast studio for broadcasting
concerts on the net. This year saw the likes of Hedley, 54-40, Lillix, Biffy Clyro,
3 Inches of Blood, Pride Tiger, 16mm, Xavier Rudd and many more in our studios.
Good luck in '07 to all the hard working, talented bands and musicians.
It's going to be a big year!

Our first blog in awhile!
Renegade Productions Inc. is pleased to announce the addition of a graphic design wing,
Renegade-Zip, specializing in music websites (including our own), CD covers, posters,
T-shirts, stickers and more. Look under the 'services' tab for graphics/web.
On the studios front, the newly opened Gastown location has been a huge success,
with great hard-working artists and recording acts such as Hedley, Lillix, 54-40, Pride Tiger,
Frontline Assembly, Biffy Clyros and more.
The Hastings East studios continue to rock with Broken Condom Babies, The Invaders and more.
We will be announcing a new location sometime soon and will keep you posted.
On the promotion front, Renegade Management has now teamed with MS Promotions out of Germany,
and is shopping local band Damsel Fly for European distribution.
As for concerts, Renegade Productions has been and continues to be a part of the crew and production team
for the Lillix lower mainland shows.

Scandinavia and the UK in June.

Renegade's update today brings us to a progress update on the new Gastown Studios. The facility is looking great and is ready for paint. We are just
about booked solid, and this week we kick off Studio A which will cater to large touring and recording bands starting with 54-40. New pics will be up soon. Opening soon will be another
location in addition to Gastown and Hastings Studios; details TBA soon. We are currently deciding between a handful of properties.
On the recording front, we are working on a large international
voice-over project, and have bands on deck for the opening of the new Pro-Tools Studio B. Renegade Management is preparing for a worldwide release of Damsel Fly in April; more promo on this soon.
We are also looking forward to assisting Broken Condom Babies with their endeavours, and looking for another band to sign to our melodic hard rock label Renegade Sounds.

Magic. That's the word used to describe the sound at our new Gastown Studios. We are under full speed renos but our bands are playing while we go. The studios are nearly finished, walls have been pulled out to enlarge studios, windows have been discovered, new carpets are going down, new locks and alarms for each and every studio are being installed, the lounge with full vending is taking shape, new electrical is being wired throughout, and storage spaces are being built. The studios are filling up now, and are expected to be completely finished within a week.

Negotiations are still under way for another location and Renegade Waterfront Studios is in the planning stages.
On other news, Renegade Productions is pleased to announce it has received a Platinum Record from Hedley.

Renegade Productions Gastown Studios are opening tonight with its first bands, while under renovations.
The move from the old location at 314 West Hastings is now complete, and 20 new studios are now almost fully booked. Please note the new studio sizes and prices that have just been uploaded to the website. The location at 19 Water Street with its ample brickyard loading bay against the backdrop of the mountains is looking and sounding good.
Our Hastings Studios at 816 East Hastings are fully booked as well, and a 3rd location is in the planning stages.

Renegade Productions has closed it's Studios West location and opened Renegade Gastown Studios. We are pleased to announce the 1st bands will start Thursday March 2, while the facility undergoes renovations that should take about a week. There will be an updated floor plan posted on the website www.renegadeproductions.net.
The Renegade Waterfront Studios deal has not been completed at this time and there will be an announcement shortly as to our next location.
Thanks to all the bands that came with us and trusted our 23 years of management experience. We will make the Renegade Gastown Studios a great facility. We are also pleased to inform you the Renegade Hastings Studios (formerly Studios East) is booked solid and getting a renovation too.

Renegade Gastown Studios will be available for viewing and loading in on Friday Feb. 24th right through to March 1.
The address is 19 Water St. and there will be a sign on the front door. There will also be a sign on the loading door on Carrall St. This will probably be an easier way to get in.
There will be a crew there renovating the studios and locked space to put your gear in, and we will have the Studio Letters on the wall that correspond with the floor plan on the website www.renegadeproductions.ca
The studio walls are now going up and we expect to be open for business March 1.
There's a Studio Rental Agreement that you can download from the website, fill out, and fax back to
604-899-0435 or drop it off at our office at suite 506-402 W. Pender St.
We will try and hold your studio for you and confirm as soon as we can. As the studios become taken, we will try and update the website and at the location, but we will now be accepting requests.
Our white Budget van will be shuttling back and forth between the buildings starting now; just look for it out back of West Hastings St.
Please note: everything has to be out of West Hastings by midnight Feb 28.

Hey everybody,
At the risk of over-communicating, we now have the new studio dimensions and prices up on our website.
The relocation is going well and we are pleased to announce almost all of our bands are coming with us.
If you have a studio preference, please let us know. We will try and keep the sharing bands together where possible.

Renegade Productions is moving ahead and on track!
Renegade Gastown Studios will begin accepting equipment this week and
through the weekend. The new building is secure and alarmed and free
storage will be available throughout this process. Studios have now been
mapped out and bands will be choosing their desired size and price range in
the next few days. This is going to be a great facility. We expect to
post more detailed information tomorrow. Our vans and crews will be
available to assist the bands with their move. Please note that we cannot
be responsible for equipment left at the old location past February 28/06.
Renegade Waterfront Studios is now closer to becoming closer to a reality
and will be a 12,000 sq ft brand new studio building on Vancouver's harbour
front. First stage is under way for 4,000 sq.ft of lock-out studios slated
for April 1 opening. Next will be main stage and large studios for May 1,
followed by upper level lockout studios with windows and great harbour and
mountain views expected by June 1. We will update more on this location
soon. We have a sketch of the building posted and more to come later.
We are looking forward to having many bands from our former 314 West
Hastings location making Renegade Gastown and Renegade Waterfront Studios

Renegade Productions is pleased to announce the first of two new locations.
Renegade Gastown Studios will open March 1 at 19 Water Street. The 7,000 sq. ft rehearsal and recording complex occupies the space of a former subterranean Gastown nightclub, is acoustically excellent, is well designed with a large main stage studio, several good sized shared studios, and individual lock-out studios. The location is central to all transportation hubs including skytrain, seabus, bus, car, skateboarding and walking. The building has easy loading and is secure. The former nightclub underwent extensive renovations, has wonderful lounges and facilities, and will now have brand new studios built. Location Update
We are making progress on one of our new locations. Expect some more news by February 15. Things are looking pretty good for us acquiring a 2nd new location too. We will update with as much info as we can, as soon as we can.
In the meantime, we are pleased to announce we are 100% full at our West Hastings location, stable for February, and looking good for a new home in March.

Our lease has expired at the Studios West location and we are moving February 28.
Our securing of new premises is progressing well. We have 5 locations in the downtown area to choose from, and are in late stage negotiation with each property owner. All are suitable for 24/7 rehearsal, will be secure and will be ready to move in to on March 1. Renos may not be completely done on all studios, but we will be able to move everyone there.
The deals are very close to done and the likelihood is we will have 2 new locations rather than one. We plan to have enough space for all the bands here.
We don't think you need to worry about security here during February. We are maintaining all alarm systems and locks, etc on a regular basis. We have a current and valid lease through to February 28.
We will keep you posted on a regular basis and hope to announce the address(es) soon. Thanks for your patience.
